JaMychal Green

JaMychal Green is a professional basketball player, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and proud Montgomery, Alabama native whose journey from local courts to the NBA embodies perseverance, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

A standout athlete from an early age, JaMychal rose to prominence at St. Jude Educational Institute in Montgomery, earning national recognition and a scholarship to the University of Alabama, where he became one of the program’s most consistent and impactful players. After a successful collegiate career, he went on to achieve his dream of playing professional basketball. Over the course of more than a decade in the NBA, JaMychal wore the jerseys of the San Antonio Spurs, Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, and Golden State Warriors. Known for his grit, versatility, and leadership, he earned respect from teammates, coaches, and fans alike.

Off the court, JaMychal has built a legacy as a dedicated community advocate and businessman. He is the owner of a thriving restaurant, bringing people together through food, culture, and hospitality. His entrepreneurial spirit mirrors his approach to basketball — hard work, team effort, and a vision for long-term success.

Deeply committed to service, JaMychal is an outspoken advocate for young men’s health and wellness, encouraging physical fitness, mental well-being, and informed lifestyle choices. He also invests his time and resources into creating sports opportunities for the next generation, hosting youth camps, partnering with schools and community organizations, and mentoring young athletes to develop not just their athletic abilities but also life skills that will serve them far beyond the game.

A proud son of Montgomery, JaMychal never forgets his roots. His charitable work focuses on empowering underprivileged youth, improving access to quality programs, and inspiring children to dream beyond their circumstances. Through hands-on involvement and strategic giving, he seeks to open doors for others just as mentors and community leaders once did for him.

Today, JaMychal continues to balance his career in professional sports with business ventures, philanthropy, and most importantly, his role as a devoted husband and father. His life’s mission is simple but powerful: to inspire others to chase their goals relentlessly, to live with integrity, and to always remember the importance of giving back to the community

Community Impact

Dr. Kemeche Green

Dr. Kemeche Green, a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, has built her life and career around service, education, and inclusion. With a deep passion for supporting individuals with special needs, Dr. Green focuses on creating opportunities for them to engage with their typical peers and participate in the same “regular” age-appropriate activities that foster connection and growth. Whether it’s shopping, going to the movies, attending sporting events (even if they don’t play, they can still be involved), or exploring work opportunities, she believes every individual deserves to be included in the full spectrum of community life.

Dr. Green works daily to promote environments where young people with disabilities can experience true belonging. She envisions a world where inclusion is not simply an accommodation, but a natural, celebrated part of everyday interactions. In her work, she encourages typical peers to connect meaningfully with their special needs classmates, breaking down barriers and building mutual understanding and respect.

Her dedication extends beyond her professional role. Dr. Green frequently donates alongside her beloved baby brother, combining their efforts to impact the lives of others in meaningful ways. She also works closely with her mother, the owner of The House of Greek Boutique, strengthening the family’s legacy of entrepreneurship and community service.

In addition to her work in the community, Dr. Green is a respected educator, serving as a professor at both Alabama State University (ASU) and Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM). Through her teaching, she shapes future generations of leaders, educators, and advocates who will carry forward the mission of inclusion and empowerment.

Looking to the future, Dr. Green plans to help individuals with disabilities integrate more fully into their communities, with a special focus on employment. She seeks to transform day programs into vibrant, purposeful spaces that provide not just a place to go, but meaningful opportunities for work, social interaction, and personal growth.

Dr. Kemeche Green’s life is a testament to service, leadership, and love. Whether in the classroom, alongside her family, or within the community, she is committed to breaking barriers, inspiring change, and ensuring that individuals with disabilities are not only included, but truly embraced and celebrated
